6 XC Wilson Micrometer Bullet Seater - Stainless

The Wilson Micrometer Bullet Seater is precision machined from a solid bar of high-grade stainless steel and is undoubtedly the most consistent and precise bullet seater on the market. Wilson has been making inline seaters for decades now and have honed their skills to an art. These dies are used primarily in arbor style presses. These seaters have only one moving part during the seating operation. The case and bullet are captured in a chamber similar to your rifle’s chamber and the seater stem is pushed straight down to seat the bullet. Everything is already aligned and the fit of seater stem to the seater body is so tight that you can create a vacuum. It’s machined that precise!

The micrometer head allows the reloader to adjust seating depth infinitely with .001” between graduations. These benchrest quality dies have been used by benchrest shooters for over 4 generations and in the last two decades have been adopted for use in other precise sports such as F-Class, Fullbore, High Power, PRS and other accuracy demanding shooting venues.

Includes:

  • One Wilson Micrometer Bullet Seater
  • Seater base to elevate primer above arbor press plate
  • Complete instructions

Features:

  • Stainless parts for long life- machined from 416 and 303 stainless steel
  • Micrometer head adjustment for easy seating depth changes with an easy-to-read scale in .001” increments but you can dial finer if you wish
  • Micrometer head allows you to go back and forth between seating depths for various loads or rifles
  • Seating stem and bore hole (guide hole) are machined with extremely tight tolerances making for an almost perfect fit and alignment with the bullet being seated
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Tech Tips:

  • When using a Stoney Point (Hornady) OAL gage, you can use the tool to roughly adjust your seater quickly by placing the cutout on the tool on top of your arbor press plate and sit the seater on top of the dummy round (bullet in the modified case). Then adjust the stem down until the seater cap is flush with the top of the die. You have to let your arbor press place hang over your bench a bit to allow the tool to extend below the arbor press. Then fine tune it from there using your comparator.
