The Hornady LNL Gauge, formally known as a Stoney Point Gauge, has been a mainstay for measuring the distance off lands for decades. However, to use the gauge you must purchase brass that is modified to screw onto the gauge, or you must send your brass to Hornady to have them make a custom case for you.

With this kit, you can do it all in your home shop with nothing more than a bench vise, a tap wrench, and a hand drill. Modify your own fire formed brass and have a working gauge in less than 15 minutes!
