About DRD Precision Firearms
Dan Duitsman, owner/operator (USMC Veteran) has over 23 years of competitive shooting experience and uses his knowledge to build and customize the best firearms for each shooting discipline. Dan has been building and repairing firearms for several years and builds his own firearms in which he competes at numerous CMP and NRA rifle matches to include the national championships.
While Dan was in the Marine Corps, he had the opportunity to serve with the Marine Corps Shooting Team and competed at numerous local, state, regional, and National Rifle Championship matches. He has won several state, regional, and national matches to include setting 8 individual national records and a firing member of 2 national team match records. He now uses his experience to instruct, mentor, and coach competitive shooting while building the best rifles on the range.
Dan has used a few different barrels and uppers built by other companies over the years and decided to start building his own to be more competitive on the firing line using the best parts on the market. He teamed up with Satern Barrels to build national match uppers for the XTC service rifle in which he uses to compete with. 2 years ago Satern developed a 20" .223 HBAR 1/7 twist 3R button barrel with a wylde chamber to answer the call for an accurate barrel at a low price. These barrels have proven to produce groups comparable to a cut barrel when put on an upper that has been honed. Each upper is tested at 100 yards and does not pass his standards unless it produces less than 1 MOA. So far each upper tested has passed with an average of 3/4 MOA at 100 yards.
