Creedmoor Sports Firing Pin Protrusion Gauge
The Creedmoor Sports Firing Pin Protrusion Gauge allows you to quickly and accurately measure how far the firing pin protrudes from the breech face when it is in its forwardmost position. This will help you identify potential causes of light primer strikes and misfires and avoid potential pierced primers due to excess firing pin protrusion. The Firing Pin Protrusion Gauge is precision machined from Stainless Steel to ensure accurate measurements and works for all types of actions including most ARs and Bolt Guns

Instructions
-
Disassemble the action or de-cock firearm
-
Measure the overall length of the gauge with the pin flush on both ends
-
Lightly adjust the tension screw to prevent the pin from moving
-
Place notched end of the gauge on the bolt face centered over the firing pin hole
-
Hold gauge against the bolt face
-
Push firing pin forward until it bottoms out. Pin should be out of the gauge
-
Remeasure the gauge with the pin out. The difference between the pin being flush with the gauge and the pin protruding from the gauge is your firing pin travel.
