Known all over the world for the highest quality shooting coats and shooting accessories, Creedmoor continues to assist their customers in "Chasing Precision" with Creedmoor products and 3rd party products from well-known manufacturers in the shooting industry.
Creedmoor Sports is looking for an experienced purchasing/supply chain professional to join us as a Purchasing Specialist. This position plays a critical role within the organization and must ensure our ability to maintain flow of goods of both third-party brands as well as raw materials for our manufacturing operations. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. Experience in the shooting sports industry or competitive shooting will be highly advantageous to this individual, but is not required. This position is located at Creedmoor's McClellan Office near Anniston/Oxford, AL. This position will be full-time in Alabama and candidates must be willing to relocate.

Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee all purchasing for the organization, to include raw materials for manufacturing
- Manage relationships and maintain open communication with all vendors
- New item creation and item data maintenance
- Ensure supply chain readiness based on business trends and future planning
- Conduct item-level forecasting within a structured procurement software
- Negotiate pricing, terms, freight, and marketing co-op with vendors
- Participate in SIOP process by providing inventory forecasts on a rolling 12-month schedule
- Maintain costing and retail pricing to protect corporate margin goals
- Monitor open order reports and update ETAs as available

Summary of Position:
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for the supply chain management for the organization. This includes forecasting, purchasing, vendor management, item maintenance, and report generation and analysis.
Job Requirements:
- Professional experience in purchasing, forecasting, and vendor management
- Ability to execute purchasing efforts within the guidelines of an established open-to-buy plan
- Proficient in negotiating costing, terms, freight, and CO-OP
- Capable of managing in excess of 5,000 SKUs and 100 vendors
- Desire to foster an environment of continuous improvement and efficiency
- Experienced in report generation, analysis, and data-based decision making
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and experience with ERP, WMS, or other purchasing/supply chain systems

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated, data-driven individual with a background in supply chain management and/or purchasing. The candidate should have an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent amount of work experience in a supply chain, purchasing and/or forecasting field. Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of professional experience. Experience in the shooting sports industry is preferred and highly advantageous in this position.
